Technology is everywhere. From the cars driven to the phones used, there are endless amounts of ways to get to any destination. The destination may be far away to the beach or to the hill side for a family picnic. You can find all these getaways and more in the state of Texas alone. Texas is made up of seven regions that are filled with museums, parks, food, and rich in culture.

The Big Bend Country is known for its rocky terrain and is home to cities such as El Paso, Alpine, and Midland. The Gulf Coast is known for its ports, beaches, and marine wildlife. Cities such as Houston, Galveston, Corpus Christi, and Brownsville border the East coast of Texas. The Hill County region includes Austin, San Marcos, New Braunfels and more. You can find the state capitol here along with large hills and rivers filled with native wildlife. The Panhandle Plains are known for its rich cowboy heritage. Go visit Amarillo, Lubbock, or any other city in this region for a scenic view of the Rocky Mountains. Bordering Arkansas is the Piney Woods region which is opposite of the open plains that Texas is usually depicted by. You can hike the woods in Tyler and visit old south homes in Jefferson. Prairies and Lakes is the hometown region to the NFL team the Dallas Cowboys and the MBL Texas Rangers. The american beginning of Texas started here with the help of Stephen F. Austin. The seventh region is known as the South Texas Plains. This region is grown in Texas and has roots in Mexico which makes it known for its rich culture.Visit San Antonio to remember The Alamo or to the Rio Grande Valley to get a true taste of Mexican Cuisine. 

Since Texas is so grand, finding places that appeal to a passing traveler can be difficult. The government funds facilities such as the Texas Travel Information Center that is located in Harlingen, Texas for this purpose.

Mental Health Week (interview)

Mental health is an issue that plagues 1 in 5 adults in America every year. One topic that remains controversial is dating violence. Victims are afraid to speak up and abusers continue to exude toxic behavior. Talking about it opens up the possibility to understanding the victims and them being released from a bad relationship. Today we had a survivor of an emotionally abusive relationship talk about her experience and shed some light on this touchy subject.
